My intention as a yoga and movement instructor is that every student who walks in feels welcome and my classes always feel approachable. I am very interested in the ways that movement can help us feel better within our own unique bodies, not only by easing discomforts, but also by increasing strength and building confidence on and off the mat. My classes are a lot like my home state of Louisiana; a mix of hospitality, heat, and some spice, all while we move with our breath slowly and smoothly like jazz music.”

Originally from south Louisiana, Kara moved to Nashville in the summer of 2019 with her husband and two sons. Kara is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she has degrees in Anthropology. It was then she began her yoga practice, and although she didn’t begin her yoga teacher journey until years later, Kara’s teaching practice is informed by her Anthropology background, which is rooted in the study of humans. Kara, now a RYT 200, is certified in vinyasa yoga. She also has certifications in teaching trauma-informed yoga and classical mat Pilates.
