I strive to take the practice and history of yoga seriously, without taking myself or any specific poses too seriously. In my class, I hope to facilitate a welcoming, grounding space for each yogi’s own journey, as well as some fun!
When trauma and stress left me unmoored, Yoga helped me ground in the present and reconnect with my body. Like nothing else I’ve experienced, Yoga facilitates inner peace and strength, as well as community and collective liberation. It opens the door to big revelations about our commitment to each other and our world, while also reminding us that sometimes what seems the most simple, is the most important of all: breath, rest, play, this moment, each other. As a student and a teacher, I strive to take the practice and history of yoga seriously, without taking myself or any specific poses too seriously. In my class, I hope to facilitate a welcoming, grounding space for each yogi’s own journey, as well as some fun!
Off the mat, you’ll find me on a hiking trail or curled up with a sci-fi/fantasy book and my 80lb mutt . I also work as a Psychologist where I incorporate the many healing aspects of yoga into trauma-informed care.
